We’re always looking for our next Superstar Master of Ceremonies!

Please note before reading further:

1) To be clear…this position is not for DJ…but instead for Wedding MCs that will host our events.

2) SMEC does not subcontract current djs that have their own companies. All SMEC team members are hired on an “employee” status and must sign a non-compete before training.

Ever thought of having a super fun, great paying weekend job that truly allows you to be the life of the party? This is it! We’d like to train you to be our newest Superstar Wedding MC! We’ll provide (paid) microphone training, the tuxedo and all of the necessary equipment. Applicants just need to be energetic, eager to please and 100 % service oriented.

Though we’re based in Easton, our company provides entertainment for upscale weddings all across Maryland and Delaware. All applicants should be extremely comfortable speaking on a microphone and taking the lead while hosting wedding events. This position of Lead MC (Master Of Ceremonies) will work hand in hand with our experienced djs. The MC hosts the event on the microphone, while the dj plays music under their direction.

It is our experience that people with backgrounds in music, theatre, teaching, waiting tables and bartending have seen great success within our company. Our brand is elegant and professional, yet extremely personable …as our clients are interested in modern style wedding entertainment and NOT the “cheesy” 80s and 90s “crazy” djs.

Applicants must:

  • Be at least 18 years of age, due to legalities of the venues where we perform
  • Have their own vehicle large enough to carry sound and lighting equipment
  • Have a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
  • Be available to work weekends… as most all weddings are Friday, Saturday or Sundays
  • Be physically able to carry large fixtures of sound and lighting equipment
  • Possess Leadership qualities
  • Possess a professional sounding speaking voice
  • Be able to multi-task
  • Work well in high stress situations
  • Work well in a team environment

If called in for an interview, applicants must be prepared to read from a wedding script which will be provided in advance of the appointment.
